Standart Magazine

Must-read for coffee lovers

Standart began with the idea that good coffee should be accessible to everyone.

Awarded 2017, 2018 and 2019 Best Coffee Magazine, Standart is a well-curated, quarterly print publication that explores the beauty and diversity of coffee culture. It started with a simple goal in mind: to celebrate the culture of specialty coffee through a marriage of great writing and beautiful design.

Every issue has 144 pages printed on high-quality FSC-certified paper with 15 articles, stories, interviews or essays from some of the brightest minds in coffee, and beyond.

Issue 25

Fresh, essential, and fun

In the new Standart Issue 26, we profile Burundi, giving you a close-up of the challenges facing one of Africa’s poorest coffee-producing countries.

We talk with the award-winning coffee producer Karla Boza about her move towards specialty coffee after realizing her and her father were being ripped off by coffee traders, and to Joshua Norris, an activist and educator working in Northern California to preserve the ancestral practices of the Yurok Tribe.

You’ll meet three extraordinary leaders working to bring coffee’s troubled history to light through their businesses, and you’ll ponder along with us on the important subject of decolonizing the history of coffee, for a better future. This and a load more await you in the latest issue of Standart.
